Creative Arts

Not only do we have our robust Makerspace program, which has a STEAM focus, but also a Recording Studio program that allows youth to explore their musical talents and passions! In addition to the Makerspace and Recording Studio, our Garden program even incorporates outdoor crafts and activities using naturally grown or found resources from Italo’s Garden.

Makerspace

A flexible work space that is conducive to creative brainstorming and hands-on experimental work including usage of equipment like 3-D Printers and state-of-the-art computers. The Makerspace enables members to enhance their digital skills, learn about hardware systems and natural sciences and gain an appreciation for the do-it-yourself-style of working.

Steam Powered Girls

Girls in 3rd-5th grade receive dedicated hours in the Makerspace where they are encouraged to bridge the gap between the arts and STEM fields, bringing their creativity to engineering, design and problem solving. Members of STEAM Powered Girls form a small community, encouraging each other to navigate obstacles and think outside the box. This program is intended to broaden their horizons and show them that their gender does not limit them but instead offers a unique perspective that is an asset to STEAM fields. The program offers our girls a safe and judgement free place to learn and develop their STEAM skills.

Recording Studio

The Club’s brand new Recording Studio is a creative and exploratory learning and performing space for ages 12 to 18 where our members can express themselves through art, sound and creative expression. Members will become familiar with basic music and recording materials, while nurturing creativity, curiosity, voice and developmental growth.

Lyricism 101

Lyricism 101 is a program designed to cultivate and amplify the powerful, formidable voices of Club teens. Members will become familiar with basic music and recording materials, while nurturing creativity, curiosity, voice and developmental growth.
