Health & Wellness Director 

Classification: Full-time (Exempt) 
Reports to: Chief Executive Officer 
Primary Function: 
The Health & Wellness Director will oversee and provide direct service, training, and support for our health and wellness program that includes mental health and health education. The director will be fully licensed by the state of California who will serve as our mental health clinician using an anti-racist, trauma-informed, child-centered, community social work model. Our setting requires formal mental health skills (case management, assessment, individual & family therapy, referrals, etc.) and informal behavioral coaching, social-emotional support, youth development, and skill development.  
Key Responsibilities: 
Clinical Care
• Provide individual, family, and/or group therapy.
Provide clinical case management for youth.
Develop, monitor, and implement treatment goals and interventions for all modalities of direct service.
Perform accurate and timely record-keeping and documentation of all client-related activities (e.g., assessments, progress notes, and treatment plans).
Collaborate with mental health providers to identify treatment options for members.
Consult with staff proactively and preventatively.
Attend and participate in regularly scheduled client review meetings, clinical meetings, and staff meetings.
Orient afterschool staff regularly on referral process. 
Socio-emotional Cultural Support
Implement the organization’s trauma informed practices initiative.
Facilitate living skills and social-emotional programming for youth and teens.
Facilitate milieu-based interventions.
Develop systems that integrate support into traditional youth development programming.
Develop and increase accessibility to socioemotional resources available to youth and families.
Facilitate restorative practices.  
Staff Capacity Building 
• Provide agency-wide training on trauma informed practices and socio-emotional learning techniques.
Provide consultation to staff about mental health challenges impacting youth.
Assist with the development and implementation of agency-wide mental health policies and procedures.
Supervise and train health education coordinator.
Supervise and train mental health interns.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED: 
  • Master’s or doctoral degree from an accredited school of social work, MFT, Psychology or related field.  
  • Registered with the Board of Behavioral Science (BBS) 
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.  
  • Effectively use Microsoft Word, Outlook mail and Outlook calendar. 
  • Work effectively with volunteers, parents, school officials and other community members. 
  • Represent the Club positively in the community. 
  • Should be able to lift 25 pounds.  
  • Ability to pass a DOJ fingerprint and criminal background check.
